My name is Eric Lake. For the past twenty years, I’ve been working in New York with some of the most creative men and women in the industry. Whether magazine design, illustration or film production, I’ve learned from some of the best. I’ve taken a break from the industry to focus on my first love, painting.

CALIFORNIA COAST

I’ve always loved the distinctive glow of the Golden State captured by the California Impressionists. Many painted en plein air, or “in the open air” and were students of nature. They found inspiration from the same sea-sprayed cliffs that influenced Jack London, Ansel Adams and Sinclair Lewis. Please check out my series from my time working on the West Coast.
