We pass this ridge in Carmel Valley almost everyday.  Each time, it displays a new and amazing view.  A pilot used to design and fly gliders off of these windswept hillsides in the 1930’s, hence the name Albatross Ridge.  His descendants have planted a vineyard, ambitiously facing the challenge of a unique climate and fossil-heavy soil.
